Communicatie
Athabasca Communications is gespecialiseerd in communicatie, en vooral in interne communicatie. Bij veel organisaties ontbreekt de tijd of het inzicht om de interne communicatie op een gestructureerde manier aan te pakken. "De communicatie loopt vanzelf" is iets anders dan optimale communicatie.
U kunt Athabasca Communications inschakelen om mee te denken over en mee te werken aan de communicatie in uw organisatie. Onze bijdrage kan beleidsmatig of praktisch zijn. Voorbeelden van een beleidsmatige bijdrage zijn: structuur bieden, of een theoretische basis, of een raamwerk voor het ontwikkelen van een visie, een missie, of een communicatieplan.
Voorbeelden van een praktische bijdrage zijn: helpen bij de voorbereiding en implementatie van een nieuwe huisstijl, of bij de invulling van middelen zoals een personeelsblad, een sociaal jaarverslag, sjablonen voor goede teksten, verslagen, samenvattingen of notities.

Communications opereert vanuit de visie dat communicatie structureel en
praktisch moet zijn om maximale effectiviteit te bereiken.
Vertalingen
Sinds de oprichting in 1991 houdt Athabasca Communications zich bezig
- naast communicatie - met vertalingen van het Nederlands naar het Engels
en andersom. Ook hier geldt dat de producten praktisch en bruikbaar moeten
zijn. Athabasca Communications is gespecialiseerd in vertalingen in de
volgende vakgebieden: communicatie, pr en marketing, psychologie, taal-
en letterkunde, onderwijs, management en organisatiekunde.
Athabasca Communications werkt voor klanten bij uitgeverijen, ministeries,
organisatieadviesbureaus, reclame- en ontwerpbureaus, onderzoeksinstituten
en universiteiten.

Athabasca
The Athabascan Indians have populated immense regions in Alaska and
Canada for many thousands of years. The nomadic tribes managed to survive
in a land that is stunningly beautiful, but is also one of earth's wildest
and harshest environments. They are survivors not only because of their
hunting skills and their ability to innovate and adapt to their environment,
but also because of their ability to communicate. The Athabascans are
unique in that the various tribes and clans speak many different languages.
There are eleven separate Athabascan languages recognized in Alaska alone.
Because of constant contact among these speakers of distinct languages,
mutual comprehensibility has always been high.
The story of the Athabascans illustrates that survival depends in part
on the willingness and ability to communicate.
